Do you take insurance?

WIP Well is currently not paneled with any major insurance companies. I do work with third party services that are able to facilitate superbills for clients with out of network benefits.

All fitness services and packages are exclusively private pay.

That’s a bummer. Why don’t you take insurance?

I get it- trust me. I believe in transparency so I’ll be super real with you. Insurance companies don’t pay therapists very well and when they do, it takes months for that payment to come through. I can’t pay my bills, or run my business, under those circumstances.

Additionally, when you see a therapist through your insurance, your therapist has to write a note with details about the content of your session and include a diagnosis code related to your mental state or illness. I primarily see teens, women of child bearing age, and queer people. I guard that information fiercely and don’t want it to make its way into anybody’s hands but mine.

Do I have to have a set time? Or can I schedule one off appointments?

I require all sessions to be set on a regular weekly or biweekly basis. Clients who have worked with me for an extended period of time may be able to move to monthly maintenance appointments.

Post consult, we will find a regular time that works for both of us. If things come up, I absolutely offer reschedule appointments, cancellations, etc.

Consistency is key to progress in both fitness and therapy and I find that this set up keeps us on track.

When do you see clients?

I see regularly scheduled clients T-Th, generally between the hours of 10am and 5pm- my last session is 4pm. Mondays and Fridays are reserved for the occasional make up and monthly regular maintenance clients.

What’s your cancellation policy?

No shows are charged at the full session rate. Appointments cancelled with 12 hours notice or less are charged at 75% of the full fee. Appointments cancelled between 12-24 hours notice are charged at 50% of full fee. Appointments canceled 24 hours or more prior have no penalty!

Do you offer virtual sessions?

I offer virtual sessions for therapy! Fitness services are only in person.

What does polyvagal and somatic therapy mean?

Polyvagal and somatic therapy means I practice from an orientation that focuses on your nervous system and your body’s connection to your emotions. If you’ve ever had the experience of “I can totally think about this rationally now, but in the moment I couldn't think straight” or “I know nothing was wrong but my body freaked out”- that’s your nervous system.

You can’t think your way out of the effects of trauma and I use a variety of techniques to help your mind and body move forward.

Can I take pilates classes from you and you be my therapist?

Yup! If I see you in class, or anywhere outside of therapy for that matter, I follow your lead. If you act like we’ve never met before, that’s fine with me! If you run up and shout “omg my therapist I love you” and hug me- that’s fine too. Whatever makes you comfy.

Can I contact you outside of sessions?

I offer on demand services for an escalated fee. Beyond that, any communications outside of therapy are restricted to billing or scheduling. This includes parent consults or questions regarding their children. If you have something you’d like to chat through, we can schedule an additional appointment!

Can I follow you on instagram?

Go for it! I’d love for you to follow @wip.well.

Because of my public presence at BodyRok, my personal instagram is also public for marketing reasons. I regulate this closely, but if you follow that account you might also get glimpses into my real person life (like my cute dog and cute husband). I’m okay with that, but if you want more of a traditional therapist dynamic, let’s talk about it and establish some boundaries.
